Firefighter Tahoe for Sale with Lights and Sirens
I am a volunteer firefighter with the Wake Forest Fire Department and had to respond to calls with lights and sirens. The loud digital air horn is operational as well. The vehicle was used as the drone Tahoe and is equipped for public safety drone operations. There is a unique custom cabinet in the back where the third row of seats normally is. It has a large drawer that holds one or more drones. Additionally it held video monitors, landing pads, collapsible cones, video streaming device, distributed power supply, and wifi. I will include collapsible cones stored behind send row of seats.
Because of the lights and sirens I will only sell this vehicle to someone that can prove they are an active duty firefighter, active duty volunteer firefighter, or a fire department. No exceptions.
The custom cabinet is built specifically for this vehicle, and I am including pictures of what it looked like in regular operation and with the top cleaned off. None of the drone items or other items shown in the drawer are included with the Tahoe.
The seats that were removed from the third row are included with the vehicle.
The only reason I am selling this vehicle is because I no longer need a personal vehicle for public safety operations. It runs like a champ and has never let me down responding to a call.
The center console is a Havis model with rocker switches for the lights, additional 12v outlets, cupholders, a Motorola handheld radio charger, and a digital trunking programable scanner that you can hear through the AUX channel on the radio. I found the scanner invaluable to monitor other departments as I used my fire department radio for incidents. Both police and EMS added so much more information than I would have normally had when responding.
There is also an iPad or phone gooseneck mount and a secondary BNC coax connection to attach a second radio to the public safety antenna.
The siren is activated by pressing a button down quickly to select the type of siren or to turn it off. You can"t activate the siren unless your emergency red/white lights are on.
The accessories for my firefighting aviation equipment and lights run off the second isolated battery upfront. You can use the second battery to give yourself a jumpstart if necessary.
When the back door is up, the light bar across the back turns off so you are not blinded. A switch turns on white LED lights in the back gate to illuminate the work area.
There is a drone landing pad on the roof in case you find yourself in a difficult location. When the back gate LED lights are on, the bar around the roof"s landing pad is illuminated with LED lights. There is a video below showing how beneficial this is.
The dash camera is included as well. You will need your own SSD card for it.
This is a 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe LT that has been well maintained. Recently the Chevy dealer replaced the oil pump.
As I write this listing, the truck as 115,330 miles on it.
I have never had an accident in this vehicle, and there is no history of any accident I am aware of.
The truck is clean, in exceptional shape, and ready to put into service. I would love to sell this truck to someone that can continue the public safety drone operation that it is purpose-built for.
I do have the clear title. If you complete the sale by wire transfer, not ACH, I am happy to send the title by express delivery and then meet the shipper you select to pick up the truck.
I have purchased vehicles this way in the past on and have never had any issue doing it like this. If you have any issue with me holding the title until the funds arrive I can provide you with a character reference from one of my department Chief"s if that would make you feel better. If the buyer wanted to pay a local attorney to act as an escrow agent to receive the funds, hold the title, and then release the funds and title, I could probably find a local attorney to assist with the transaction.
Test drives are not available. Covid. However, I am happy to do a FaceTime call with the buyer before final funds are sent and demonstrate the truck and drive it for you to observe. These are unusual pandemic times so we just have to adapt and overcome that particular issue.
The truck is sold as is and where is in Wake Forest, North Carolina. The only reason this is sold as is, is because I can"t warranty the vehicle. I have no expectation the buyer would have any issue. You can obtain a CarFax report and see the history of the vehicle. I purchased the vehicle used in 2014 and have owned it ever since. It has always been garaged.
Watch VideosI shot these videos in the brightest daylight I could to demonstrate how bright the lights are. At night they are incredibly bright.
