The 2001 Sterling M7500 Acterra is powered by a Cummins 5.9L diesel and a manual 5+2-speed transmission. The engine fires right up and runs smooth with no unusual noises; the manual transmission shifts smoothly, clutch position good with no grinding or slipping. Steering is tight and the truck drives straight down the road like it should. Brakes area good as well. Tires look like they have some tread left, maybe 50 or 60%. The exterior of this truck is in VERY nice shape! All storage compartments as well as cab doors open and close like they should; windows all open and close properly. Interior is in nice condition as well. This truck is equipped with A/C.
The Telect Commander 4047, 23250 lb digger derrick works great! It has a 47" sheave height, 3 section hydraulic boom, 2-speed digger, auger bit missing, pole grabs, heel winch, riding console and four hydraulic outriggers to hold the rig steady. All of this functions like it should with no leaks, whines, squeaks or grinding. Obviously this whole unit was very well maintained by previous owner.
