This 1925 Stutz Model K Fire Truck, built to the same exacting standards as all other Stutz motor cars, by virtue of its intended purpose is in lovely overall original condition with a repaint in the 70’s. Fire engines in general are rarely driven – the occasional parade and, of course, to fight fires (this one saw its last action over 70 years ago).
Only 2 Model K’s were produced in 1925 and this is the only survivor.Original 4 cyl 58 HP Midwest engine completely rebuilt and less than 600 miles.4 speed trans2 wheel rear brakes rebuiltSolid and original wooden wheels with great tiresRoutinely run and enjoyed.350 GPM PumperCorrect Elkhart extinguishers2013 Express Trailer IncludedThis 1925 Stutz Model K Fire Truck has been used and enjoyed thoroughly by its current steward and is ready for use for its next care taker upon receipt. An extensive engine rebuild was performed on the original Midwest engine and it runs like a swiss watch. This is a turn key 1925 Stutz Model K Fire Truck, also know as the Baby Stutz Fire Truck. Ready to show, parade or just have a blast!
This Fire Truck is not huge and if you unbolt the bell, it will fit in a standard garage. Its about 19 feet long. Included with the sale is a 2013 Express Trailer custom built, 24 foot box with rear ramp and 1 side door on each side 12,000 Pound GVW with a 2-5/16″ ball. Just bring your truck and haul away.
The Pump is a 350 GPM Positive displacement type. The previous owner pumped it a few times, however current owner has not, as he does not attend Musters, however this truck is regularly invited to many. The current owner uses it for fun, parades, and promotions. Its been to Florida many times for the St Patrick Days parade. A few pictures included. This is a brass truck, only the bell, front bumper and a light or 2 have nickle finish, the rest is brass. There is some nickle on the engine.
Paint is in very good condition for it’s age and we believe it was painted in the late 70’s, still very very presentable and has won numerous awards at car and truck gatherings
Truck is well equipped, some original and some added in later years and it has it’s correct Elkhart extinguishers.
An opportunity like this is rare to come by…a turn key Fire Truck with its own enclosed trailer.
