up for bids my 1927 American Lafrance model 112 engine pumper. ..Buda 904ci straight six dual sparkplug 3 speed trans 750 gpm CHAIN DRIVE yes chain driven ...super rare and folks just love the look. .this truck was first pirchased by the Myrtle Beach Fire Brigade as replacement to their wagons steamer etc...,i purchased the truck years ago off the Roanoke Virginia shriners club ..they had the truck restored back in the 90s so needless to say shes in real nice shape ..few boo boos here n there but nothing too bad...,they being retired fellas had a heck of a time driving her no power steering or brakes back in those days so they opted to sell her to me ...she fires up right away on any rainly cold or hot day and is just fine in parades in the summer pushing 90-95 degrees. .the wheels have new rubber and wooden rims are gorgeous with a deep mahogany stain n tons of clear coat. ...trucks a deep blood red and has a real nice shine to her after a wash. .theres all kinds of new goodies on her i installed a pre 1921 brass bell with eagle off an alf steamer. ..the exhaust manifold had a heat shield on it and when i removed it for inspection saw it was finished ...it literally fell apart when i tapped on it with a hammer so being inpossible to find another i had a welding shop fabricate a new one out of half inch steel. ..looks great and killed alot of heat in the engine compartment ...i have the original sireno siren but it isnt on the truck but tested works perfectly . .brakes are new hand brake aswell . .truck comes with all that u see...copper extingushers ladders hoses couplings n caps ...pike poles n axes ..the only thing that is missing on her is the speedometer which was pinched by some bozo . .ive been looking for years now with no luck so im sure u could install an aftermarket but i just didnt feel good about it...the gear is still on the front right wheel inner hub so the gauge n cable are what u need to remedy that ...orrrr keep on searching like i did. .it came with a windshield apparently installed in the 30s by alf but had it removed because i prefered the look without ...that goes with it aswell. ..these trucks run fully restored around 85000 $ im asking that for my 1928 Lafrance Foamite type 112 1000gpm out of Toronto Canada. .it is of museum quality not to say this ones not nice but my buy now is 50000 CDN a fair price for the rarity and shape its in .with the exchange rate being terrible for us its certainly an advance for the folks south of the border..there are two similar models on spamfaas web site both are in need of restoration and theyre asking 28000 USD $. ..my truck has been restored by far a great truck to show off at meets n parades. ..few nicks n scratches but most dont notice im a perfectionist so i see every little thing . ..im gonna try listing it with NO RESERVE but if it sells for 8000 im sorry but thats just not gonna happen neg feedback or not ...folks haveto be fair here. .ive got atleast $45000 USD into it so im willing to take a little kick in the pants but within reason..lol. ..ive listed couple pics with the windshield before removal and seat was redone too and a pic of my 28 . ....so feel free to contact me with any questions u may have ..like how much of a pain is it to cross the borderwhich i can say isnt much atall..ive brought trucks hot rods no vin race cars back n forth and rarely has it been an ordeal. .my names Mikey and my number is 4388312211 text me and ill call u back so u dont pay long distance. .HAPPY BIDDING N GOOD LUCK. .again NO RESERVE and DEPOSIT REQUIRED $250.00 within 48 hrs or ill assume your not commited to the sale. .so pleasepleaseplease.
