FOR SALE 1965 Peter Pirsch Model 42 Firetruck, This model has the Federal Soloray lights built into the top of the cab, very sought after model. Federal Q2 mechanical siren, Hale Pump, This unit as built had a 817 CID gas engine, was replaced at some point by a 6-71 Detroit Diesel and Allison Automatic transmission. This power combo powers this truck with ease. It was recently learned that there was a period of time that the speedometer did not work and it has recently quit working again. The odometer reading is not the actual miles on the truck but I believe the odometer is close to the actual miles. Knowing the history of this truck I would estimate the mileage to be within 2500 miles of the odometer reading.
This truck is in well above average condition as the photos show, original service manuals and paperwork included with the purchase. Comes with the deck gun and smooth bore nozzle, navy applicator nozzle and original wheel chocks, and all items listed in the cab photos.Onan 2.8K generator, onboard, included.
