This ambulance has been decommissioned per eBay"s policies. All of the red lights have been removed and disconnected as well as the siren. The decals have been removed.
1994 Ford Econoline E350 Type II Wheeled Coach ambulance van with the 7.3L diesel V8 engine and an automatic transmission with overdrive. Only 175,950 miles. Clean Carfax with no accidents. It was owned by the American Red Cross and was just take out of service. The interior is in very good shape, clean, and has working front and rear air conditioning. The exterior is also in good shape. This ambulance runs excellent. It starts up first try with no hesitation or smoke. The engine runs very smoothly with no leaks, misses, noises, or flaws. It has plenty of power. There are no check engine lights or any other sort of warning lights. It drives very well. The transmission shifts great. The frame is great shape. The rear compartment is clean and fully functional with everything still hooked up. The rear heat and air conditioning still work well. The oxygen set up, power hookup (shore power), exhaust fan, and electric vacuum all still work as well as all the interior lighting. The exterior flood work lights work perfectly. Only the red emergency lights and siren have been disconnected (the wiring is still there to hook them back up if desired). This van has been very well maintained throughout its life. It just had all new fluids, two new batteries, and new brakes at the Ford dealership. It is fully ready to go. This would be great for a plumber or contractor one ton cargo van, but also could easily be put back into service as an ambulance. It does have some wear here and there. The front seats have some very minimal tears. The exterior has some bumps and bruises, but nothing major. There is a little surface rust starting around the edges, but no rot holes. The worst of the rust is pictured. The emergency brake doesn’t engage (might need new shoes or a cable). The steering is a little sloppy, but not bad and no more than you would expect. The front tires are a little choppy. The rear tires are in good shape and are studded but aren’t overly aggressive so they could be used all year. Overall it’s in great shape, but it is a 22 year old ambulance. Don’t expect it to be brand new. Clean title. Being sold as wholesale to the public.
