Inventory ID: Y20490 Vehicle Description Up for your consideration is a Beautiful and Well-kept 2007 Sportchassis Ranch Hauler on the very classy Freightliner M2. Sportchassis is the only Medium Duty Conversion that was designed and built strictly under the Manufacturer and sold as a Freightliner Specialty Vehicle, NO aftermarket parts, only genuine parts. There are many imitations for less, but don"t settle for some knock-off conversion, these units look as good 6 years down the road as they do brand new. This unit is in excellent condition with only 38,623 miles, there are NO disappointments. Again, the interior is very clean does NOT have any funny smells, with NO evidence of unruly children or pets. Finding another Sportchassis this clean will be difficult.
Powered by a 330HP Mercedes Turbo Diesel engine and mated to a Allison 3000 6-Speed Automatic Transmission, this power plant will pull any travel trailer or horse trailer you might put behind it and with the factory equipped exhaust brake, will stop anything as well. This rig would be great for those large race car trailers as well. The engine has been fully serviced and has a clean bill of health! For those of you who do not know, this is a Pre-emission motor which means it is free of all of the newly required emission devices that have been proven to kill the life, fuel economy, and reliability of the diesel motor. There is NO Diesel Exhaust Filter (DPF) and NO Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) Required on this motor. The newer stringent emission vehicles suffer when not driven daily and at a consistent speed, the idiling of the newer motors will add to the problems of the emission devices. Because most of the Sportchassis sit waiting for a roadtrip to pull a trailer on the weekend, do yourself a favor buy a diesel motor proven to give less problems.
We have inspected this truck from front to back and found everything in working order. As to be expected, there are signs of normal use and wear(but probably one of the nicer 2007 model you will find), however there are NO signs of abuse. I am happy to say this unit is very clean and very nice. All of the interior looks great and has no wear or signs of abuse. The air ride heated leather(yes this is a leather truck, not ultra leather) seats look and feel great, the rear folding seat/couch looks and feels great, and the carpet is in great condition. This truck has been well maintained and is wearing NEAR NEW Set of Kumho Michelin 295-75-22.5s. After careful inspection of this truck I am happy to report this truck is ALL original and has not been wrecked or damaged in any way.
Since the first of the year we have sold about 20 Sportchassis Trucks and the nice ones move fast. Outside you will notice the Polished Alcoa Aluminum Wheels, Upper and Lower Spoiler, Diamond Plate Compartments, LED Clearance and Tail lights, Complete Aluminum Hauler Bed w/ Hitch Cover and Tie-down System, 32k Capacity Air ride 5th Wheel, Rear Deck Storage Box, and twin 50 gallon fuel tanks. Inside it has the standard Sportchassis upgrades which include Custom Bostrom Leather Air-ride Heated Seats, 17in Flip Down Monitor, Overhead Console, CB Radio, and Custom Stereo System with Navigation and Bluetooth, Backup Camera w/ Multiple Camera Capability for Trailer Cameras, Satellite Radio, iPod connector, DVD Player, and Twin Amplifiers. Additionally the original owner added window switches on each door, the factory just uses the switches on the dash. This truck had a window sticker at close to $130,000 and was subject Federal Excise Tax, so at the asking price of this truck, it will not last long.
This truck is a 2 Owner and has lived its life in the desert southwest since new. Ultimately the truck was not used too often and sat most of its life, it was stored indoors most of its life. We didn"t spend much time cleaning this truck. It was never driven in snow and ice, and very seldom ever driven in the rain. We did polish the aluminum wheels, and gave it a bath from top to bottom, but I must say this is the cleanest truck I have seen in quite some time. The paint of the Sportchassis trucks are second to none and we wanted the entire truck to look as good as it did when it came from the factory. While I have had some the stretched Petes and Kenworths, I prefer the width and expansive head room of the Freightliner M2, not to mention the much tighter turning radius. I drove the truck close to 400 miles and truck runs and performs great, has an awesome stereo, and remains very tight.
